Matevz Celik, a young architect from Ljubljana and the recipient of a new British Council scholarship to study urban regeneration in Britain, recently visited Cardiff at the invitation of S & A. The primary purpose was to examine the role of stadia in the City’s regeneration along with the hosting of major events. During his short stay in July he was hosted by Paul Jenkins (Director of Tourism at Cardiff City Council), Steve Webb (Director of Strategy at the Wales Tourist Board), Paul Sargeant (Director of Operations at the Millennium Stadium) and ourselves.
